Message This is just an appreciation post from me to all the people who help me
out with my Z:

I bought my ‘95 TT in May this year and got right to work. It had 63k on
it and needed the timing belt and all that changed. I didn’t know a single
Z owner then, but luckily had found this site, printed out the instructions
from ttzd.com, and got a little help with the hard parts from a local
mechanic I knew.

Damon and Russell, you guys rock. Those instructions
are excellent, detailed, and easy to follow. Thanks for having the
patience to be so meticulous and include so many photos, specs, and
even reassembly instructions.

Gary, thanks for your emails, parts, and over-the-phone
support. You got my progress un-stuck on numerous occasions.

Thanks to Rene for teaching me how to replace the fuel pump,
Kevin for letting me swap out my fp controller with his for
testing purposes, and Jeff for allowing me to do the same with
his ECU.

I discovered an oil leak which told me my mechanic help with the 60k
had installed the crank seal wrong. This is apparently what happens
when you get general help and not Z-specific help! Wayne,
thanks for showing me how that’s done right, and for wrestling with those
idler pulley studs – I’m sure I would’ve been at that for hours by myself.
I checked under the seal last night – dry as a bone.

Jacob, you don’t even know you helped, but thanks to your
post about the Bose relays, I now know what the issue is with my radio.

Last but definitely not least - naturally I can’t live in the NoVA area and
not include Bernie in this list. Bernie, thanks for the
troubleshooting, time, and installs, patience to answer my gazillion
questions, and too many little adjustments to my car for me to list. And
thanks for the smoothest ride my Z has given me yet after your work on
it last night.

I bought my Z wanting to learn more about a car worthy of learning on,
and it seems I picked the right car – what an awesome, devoted
community of people! Thanks to all you members of tt.net who have
already asked and answered my questions a thousand times, and the
efforts of Damon and company for keeping this fantastic resource
available.

Peace -

- Ash
